About the course
The course moves an accountant from the accounting logic of their home country to the Spanish system, and takes that skill as far as working independently with clients. Over 16 weeks students travel from the basics of Spanish taxation to the annual close of a limited company, complete with filing the accounts at the Commercial Registry.
What sets it apart from Spanish accounting textbooks is that it is written for someone who already knows how to keep books — but in a different country, under different rules. So wherever it helps, Spanish practice is set against familiar practice: the PGC chart of accounts against the chart they already know, Spanish tax regimes against their previous equivalents, and the filing calendar against the quarterly rhythm the accountant is used to.
Course format
Classes are held online: two two-hour webinars a week plus independent practice. Every module follows the same five steps:
- Theory — rules, deadlines and the returns involved.
- A real case — how the matter actually looks for a live client.
- Practice in Holded — the same operation inside the accounting software.
- A task for the AI agent — which part of that work can be delegated, and how to check the result.
- Test — 20 questions to consolidate the material.
All terminology comes in ES–RU pairs: students pick up both the subject and the professional Spanish they need for dealing with the tax agency, with clients and with colleagues.
Cross-cutting practice
Holded and AI agents are not separate courses — they run as cross-cutting blocks inside each stage. In Holded students run one autónomo and one limited company from company setup to the annual close, and in the AI agents block they learn to delegate routine work and to check what the assistant has produced.
The golden rule of the course applies at every stage: AI prepares the draft, the accountant reviews and files. No return reaches the tax agency without human review.
How to take the course
The stages are built so they can be taken in sequence or separately:
- Stage 1, Autónomo — a self-contained foundation block. Finish it and you can take on autónomo clients without moving on to companies.
- Stage 2, Sociedad Limitada — the advanced block. It requires the first stage, or an entry test on the Spanish system.
- The Holded and AI blocks also suit accountants already working in Spain who only want to cover the tooling side.
How the course is built
Four consecutive blocks: first the overall picture of the Spanish system, then running an autónomo, then full accounting for a Sociedad Limitada, and a final project covering a client's annual cycle.
Module 0. Introduction to the Spanish system
Weeks 1–2 · 12 hours
Finds their way around taxes and authorities, understands the PGC and commands ES–RU terminology.
Stage 1. Autónomo
Weeks 3–8 · 45 hours
Runs an autónomo end to end: registration, every quarterly return, social security and the annual close.
Stage 2. Sociedad Limitada
Weeks 9–15 · 55 hours
Keeps full company books under the PGC: entries, VAT, payroll, corporate income tax and annual accounts.
Final project
Week 16 · 8 hours
Completes a client's annual cycle in Holded and defends the work with a connected AI agent.
